Venture Vienna is a tour company that specialises in active tours, with a focus on wine hikes and kayak trips. We began our journey into Austrian Wine back in the summer of 2018 in the beautiful Wachau Valley. After the brutal task of sampling A LOT of world-class Gruner Veltliner and Riesling while there, our founder discovered the delightfuly subtle and earthy Neuburger grape and thus made it his aim to discover what other unique varietals and regions this small alpine republic was hiding from the wider world of wine! After sampling Rotgipfler and Zierfandler while hiking in the wonderful Vienna Woods, Venture Vienna was born. Austrian wine remains relatively undiscovered and underappreciated, yet from the Wachau Valley to Burgenland, the care taken by Austrian vintners to produce small-batch wines of outstanding quality is really rather special. We aim to showcase the very best in farm-to-table wine tours with our tour through the wonderful Vienna Woods of Lower Austria's Thermal Region, visiting a local vintner along the way for an intimite Q&A and wine tasting. Our vineyard is one of the oldest certified organic vineyards in the country. Spanning 24 hectares, we have plantations in the southern slopes of Mount Saint George, Szigliget, Hajagos, and Lesencetomaj. Our philosophy is simple, just like our connection to the world surrounding us: to produce something of beauty and permanent value, while maintaining ethical farming practices. This is why we are firm believers of organic farming and sustainable development. Our mission is to tell the story of this small corner of the Earth in liquid form, and to do it with ecological approaches, the ethical use of nature, and a combination of traditional and new oenological practices.  

Our story begins in 1790 when our ancestors founded the ancient winery, that was abandoned after 200 years of operations. In 2018, 8 cousins decided to restart the family tradition, planting young vines of autochthonous varieties, with first harvest in September 2021. Etna Urban Winery gives the visitor the opportunity to enjoy the history of Etna wine making in Sicily, to visit an urban vineyard, to learn about the territory and to taste four Etna wines in a unique historical urban environment. You will visit the unique urban vineyards nestled between Catania city and mount Etna, our 17th century Palmento (winery) that is host to two 10,000-litre wooden barrels and an old wine press that was once able to process around 8 tons of grapes! With us you will be able to enjoy and be delight by the quality of the wines born on the slopes of Mount Etna, from our partners wineries and our own Etna Rosso, along with a selection of gourmet food created by the outstanding local chef Carlo Sichel. We are on the second vintage of our red wine "Vigna Grande" IGT Terre Siciliane made with Nerello Mascalese (80%) and Nerello Cappuccio (20%), typical Etna varieties.   We are members of The Urban Vineyards Association (UVA), an association with the goal of protecting the rural, historical, and natural heritage represented by urban vineyards and enhancing it from a cultural and tourist point of view, making it productive for the community and for the future while respecting the environment. Bodegas Monje, with its views of El Teide, sits proudly in the rolling countryside of La Hollera, overlooking the municipality of El Sauzal in the north of Tenerife.  Since 1750, the Monje family have been producing wine and now, the fifth generation are at the helm. wineUdesign is a winery made for family and friends.  We offer experiences in winemaking and wine blending that are fun and relaxed with information that is easy to absorb and apply to your own relationship with wine. Winemaking experiences are interactive and require a minimum of 11 months aging in barrel before you can bottle and bring home your personally made wine.  Several visits assure that you remain in touch with your wine and in touch with our process, which is as natural and with as little intervention as we've seen in the marketplace. Wine blending experiences are single events, 2 hours in length, geared towards educating about how and why certain varietals are usually merged to make an arguably superior wine.  This is a guided instruction that requires your hands-on interaction to complete the task.  You will come up with something totally unique and it may ruin all other wine for you forever.  We can only hope!   We call this series One Perfect Blend. We know there is a better way to make wine and we demand a better final product.  We believe it starts with U.

Hagafen Cellars is located in the Napa Valley, in the heart of California's premier wine grape region. In 1998, husband and wife, Paula Pivel and Alvaro Lorenzo, decided to establish a small winery in the department of Maldonado, in the southeastern region of Uruguay. With no experience other than being consumers of good wines, they set out in search of a place that combined viticultural aptitude, beautiful landscapes and a good location. The selection of the terroir, considering topography, soil and climate, was decisive to achieve an excellent quality of grapes, essential for the production of high quality wines. Don Maximiano Errázuriz Valdivieso, who founded Viña Errázuriz in 1870, was a man of great vision and wide-ranging talents. As a member of a family that has played an important role in Chile’s social and cultural life over two and a half centuries, Errázuriz carried out duties as a politician, diplomat and as a great entrepreneur. Unlike his peers, he set his eyes on the Aconcagua Valley to plant his vineyards, under the premise “from the best land, the best wines.” Don Maximiano Errázuriz was born in Santiago in 1832, into a family of Spanish Basque origin settled in Chile since 1735. Over two and a half centuries, the family has played a significant role in the country’s cultural, social and political life. It produced two Presidents of the Republic, two Archbishops of Santiago and a considerable number of diplomats, writers and businessmen, who contributed to the development of the country. In 1855 Errázuriz married Amalia Urmeneta, daughter of José Tomás Urmeneta. Don Maximiano and his father-in-law became partners and created a mining company in northern Chile. In those days, it was said that the company produced about one third of the world’s copper production. Errázuriz also created the Compañía de Gas de Santiago (Santiago’s Gas Company), establishing the first public lighting service in the capital. He participated in public life as well, serving as a member of parliament for three terms, as a senator for nine years and as a diplomatic representative for Chile’s government, both in the United States and in the United Kingdom. In 1984 Bruno Prats and Paul Pontallier, well known Agronomists Winemakers from the Bordeaux region, France, began to search in Chile for a high quality Terroir to create an original vineyard. To do this, they partner with a common friend, Felipe de Solminihac, a Chilean Winemaker Agronomist of French origin. In 1990 they acquired 18 hectares in the surroundings of the city of Santiago, at the foot of the Andes Mountains, in the “Quebrada de Macul”, in the historic heart of the Maipo Valley. Our winery was founded in 1993 by partners Jorge Fontaine Aldunate, owner of Hacienda El Principal, and Jean Paul Valette, French winemaker and former owner of the famous Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Pavie in Saint-Émilion. Their main objective was to produce a line of wines of the highest quality that would reflect both the spirit and typicality of the Chilean terroir, as well as the tradition and experience of the Valette family in the production of fine wines. The ¨El Principal¨ terroir, located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in the Maipo Andes Valley (D.O Maipo Andes) was the perfect place for his project; Its particular combination of climate, soils and altitude made it possible to produce wines with character, a sense of origin and extraordinary quality. The partners selected 54 hectares of the property to plant the Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere varieties. In 2005, the German businessman and shipping company Jochen Döhle bought the entire vineyard and then partnered with the renowned Chilean family Said Handal, which acquired 50 percent of its property in 2013. At the end of 2018, the Said Handal family decided to acquire all the operations and thus implement a growth plan that allows the vineyard to take a new stage of viticultural, oenological and commercial development, consolidating the work of excellence in the production and sale of wines carried out by Döhle.

The history of two passions in a prestigious winegrowing area situated in the Maipo Valley. Our property gently ascends the lower slopes of a spur of the Andes Mountains. In these foothills, between 1992 and 1998, one hundred and fourty hectares of vineyards were planted, mainly with the reds Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Syrah and Cabernet Franc; and the whites Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The Cúneo family, of Italian origin, founded Casas del Bosque in 1993 in the Casablanca Valley, located 70 kilometers from Santiago, the capital of Chile, and 30 kilometers from the port of Valparaíso, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site. Later, in 2013 and 2014, in the United Kingdom the winery was recognized as “The Chilean Wine Producer of the Year” in the “International Wine & Spirits Competition”.

We are Marcos ATTILIO and Angela MOCHI, a Brazilian couple, both food engineers who have been in the wine business since 1999. In 2011, we left our country to build a dream in the Casablanca Valley: planting a small vineyard with 8 different varieties, including the very first Grenache in the Valley, and making cool-climate, high-quality wines on a human scale. We are proud to say that we are on the right path, being the wines recognized many times as some of the best in the country. Our hands are in every part of the process, from growing the vine to bottling. We advocate for sustainable practices and give examples by using solar energy, building with refurbished shipping containers, and using organic practices in the vineyard like composting the residues to turn them into fertilizers. We are also moving to lighter bottles in order to reduce our carbon footprint. We are firm believers that together we are stronger, and that's why we are proud members of MOVI and Casablanca OFF. A Landscaper and a Winemaker... We are a married couple, formed by a landscaper and a winemaker, who together with our children and in deep connection with the landscape that surrounds us, began the adventure of cultivating our own "small-scale garden vineyard" on the plot where we live. From the beginning, the great challenge and main emphasis of the project has been to discover, interpret and maximize the characteristics of this distinctive terroir to give life to wines that faithfully represent its origin. The vineyard is planted on the south west slope of Cerro Guanaco, 300 meters high, in the commune of Melipilla, on the most coastal edge of the Maipo Valley, offering a beautiful view of the Cholqui valley.

Viña Tres Palacios is a company founded in 1996 by Don Patricio Palacios D. and his wife Maria Inés Covarrubias. Together they took the commitment to carry out this adventure, and thus leave a legacy that rescues the essence of the family. Once they found this magical land almost 30 years ago, they decided to add an element that they consider fundamental: the course of time, respecting the pace of this activity. In 2020 Óscar Ormeño and Pablo Sanhueza joined the company, transforming it into an agricultural company, without ever leaving aside its family seal, in order to obtain the high quality product that today characterizes the wines of Viña Tres Palacios.

Marilú, founder, owner and winemaker of Casa Marin, always wanted to establish her winery in Lo Abarca, but had to face many challenges before she could achieve it due to the extreme weather, lack of water, and doubts from her peers in the industry. Despite all these difficulties, in 2000 Marilú became the only woman to be the founder, owner and oenologist of a winery in Chile. Thus creating a company whose wines have been recognized and awarded internationally, helping to position Chile as a producer of fine wines of high quality and high market value. In 2018 María Luz was chosen among the most influential women in the world of wine by the English magazine The Drinks Business and her wines have won numerous awards worldwide. Today, the second generation follows. His sons, Felipe Marín, oenologist and viticulturist at Casa Marin and Nicolás Marin, who manages all the operational and tourism part of the vineyard.
