My wine shop is one of the oldest in Siena and specializes in Brunello di Montalcino as well as featuring famous labels such as Masseto, Sassicaia, Ornellaia and other top wines. Many bottles that are featured inside, are not found anywhere in the world except in Cantina del Brunello as they are not intended for export, also because they are produced in limited numbers. For our tasting, I chose a selection of the great Tuscan and Italian wines from more than a thousand different labels, such as Chianti Classico, Supertuscan and Brunello di Montalcino of the best quality, all accompanied by a selection of the best pecorino cheese with breadsticks, taking you not only to the store directly but inside an Etruscan tomb, dug into the tuff, which I discovered after some renovation work, where it also keeps my collection. An exciting experience and an explosion of taste that you will not forget!

More than 2 centuries in wine making, hospitality, fine dining, culture and much more, by a family that has been living in Montalcino for approximately 670 years. Fattoria dei Barbi was established in 1790 and the estate extends over 325 hectares of fields and vineyards in southern Tuscany, Montalcino, Scansano (the estate is Aquilaia dei Barbi), and the Chianti region. Since 1892, Fattoria dei Barbi has produced Brunello wine and it was the first winery to export in Europe, America, and Asia. Since the 1800s, Barbi wines have won prizes all over the world.  Fattoria dei Barbi – just a few kilometres from the beautiful Sant’Antimo Abbey – was the first winery accessible to the public in 1949, paving the way to what we name wine-tourism. Today, it is not only a cellar with vineyards, but it is a little world where visitors can enjoy a cultural experience beyond food and wine. Here hospitality means an historical Winery,  Taverna dei Barbi, Caseificio dei Barbi and Brunello Museum dedicated to history of Montalcino and to people that made up the foundation of the success of the most prestigious Italian wine.

Since 1904, we have lived and cultivated wine in Valle Valley, on the North-Western part of the Istrian peninsula, bordering Italy and Slovenia. All four generations of the Kozlović family have the same goal: to preserve native sorts by honouring the region and heritage, to advance in knowledge and technology in our vineyard and cellar, and to guarantee the quality of wine with the family name.   We believe that wines are born in vineyards but raised in cellars where they receive a reputation that they take into the world and land in wine lovers’ homes. We had remodelled our cellar in 2012 and now it stretches over three floors. We started the works in the cellar because one of the guiding principles of our family is the passion for knowledge and progress. In construction of the new cellar, we have incorporated ecological principles, sustainability and modern findings, along with wine technology and hospitality.

Austrian wine remains relatively undiscovered and underappreciated, yet from the Wachau Valley to Burgenland, the care taken by Austrian vintners to produce small-batch wines of outstanding quality is really rather special. We aim to showcase the very best in farm-to-table wine tours with our tour through the wonderful Vienna Woods of Lower Austria's Thermal Region, visiting a local vintner along the way for an intimite Q&A and wine tasting. Our vineyard is one of the oldest certified organic vineyards in the country. Winemaking experiences are interactive and require a minimum of 11 months aging in barrel before you can bottle and bring home your personally made wine.  Several visits assure that you remain in touch with your wine and in touch with our process, which is as natural and with as little intervention as we've seen in the marketplace. Wine blending experiences are single events, 2 hours in length, geared towards educating about how and why certain varietals are usually merged to make an arguably superior wine.  This is a guided instruction that requires your hands-on interaction to complete the task.  You will come up with something totally unique and it may ruin all other wine for you forever.  We can only hope!   We call this series One Perfect Blend. Hagafen Cellars is located in the Napa Valley, in the heart of California's premier wine grape region. In 1998, husband and wife, Paula Pivel and Alvaro Lorenzo, decided to establish a small winery in the department of Maldonado, in the southeastern region of Uruguay. With no experience other than being consumers of good wines, they set out in search of a place that combined viticultural aptitude, beautiful landscapes and a good location. The selection of the terroir, considering topography, soil and climate, was decisive to achieve an excellent quality of grapes, essential for the production of high quality wines. Don Maximiano Errázuriz Valdivieso, who founded Viña Errázuriz in 1870, was a man of great vision and wide-ranging talents. As a member of a family that has played an important role in Chile’s social and cultural life over two and a half centuries, Errázuriz carried out duties as a politician, diplomat and as a great entrepreneur. Unlike his peers, he set his eyes on the Aconcagua Valley to plant his vineyards, under the premise “from the best land, the best wines.” Don Maximiano Errázuriz was born in Santiago in 1832, into a family of Spanish Basque origin settled in Chile since 1735. Over two and a half centuries, the family has played a significant role in the country’s cultural, social and political life. It produced two Presidents of the Republic, two Archbishops of Santiago and a considerable number of diplomats, writers and businessmen, who contributed to the development of the country. In 1855 Errázuriz married Amalia Urmeneta, daughter of José Tomás Urmeneta. Don Maximiano and his father-in-law became partners and created a mining company in northern Chile.
