Cachapoal Valley wine experiences and wine tours

Between the Maipo Valley and the Colchagua Valley lies the Cachapoal Valley, named after the river that crosses it from the mountains to the sea. Unlike its neighbours, tourism development in this valley is less developed, however, perhaps one of the most impressive wineries in Chile and South America stands out, Viña Vik, which is committed to a very high level of wine tourism development. For those looking for a different type of experience, smaller wineries stand out, such as Viña Clos de Luz and Viña Altos de Bonani, which aim to produce high quality wines.

Other wineries that stand out are Tour to Viña Torreón de Paredes and Viña San Pedro's iconic wine tour, a magical place hidden in the mountains where you can enjoy, for example, the Bacchus experience or the Vertical Altair.

In relation to the varieties produced in this valley, the red variety, carménère, stands out, mainly due to the presence of clay soils and its Mediterranean climate that allow this grape to ripen slowly and produce wines of great character, intense carmine colour and sweet spicy aromas when it is worked in a good way.

We invite you to discover the Cachapoal Valley, between mountains, vineyards and great wines.
