Aconcagua Valley winery experiences and wine tours

It is located towards the north of the Central Valley, in the region of Valparaíso, only 1 hour and 20 minutes from Santiago and 1 hour from Viña del Mar and Valparaíso. Unlike other valleys from Chile, it is characterized by a Monumental Andes mountain range as you pass through the center of the valley.

It is a region with a long winemaking tradition, with wineries that have been producing wine for more than a century. The natural climate conditions make this valley a perfect terroir for growing red varieties like cabernet sauvignon, carmenere and sirah. During the day in the summer, temperatures can rise up to 33° C, and at night they can drop down to 10 ° C. This variation is ideal for producing wines with character, body, colour and flavours. 

In relation to the wineries you can visit, Errazuriz, El Escorial, Viña Von Siebental, Viña Flaherty Wines, Viña San Esteban, Viña Baron Knyphausen and Viña Peumayén. All of them offer different kind of experiences which makes a visit to Aconcagua a unique place to enjoy Chilean red wines.

However, the Aconcagua Valley is not just wine, it is also well known for skiing at Portillo ski center and for trekking at the Juncal park. Also, a few hotels combine familiar experiences with spa, such as San Francisco Lodge and Hotel Jahuel.
