You can bring a bus tour to Lazy Ballerina.  Your guests can enjoy a flight of 6x Lazy Ballerina wines for $10 per person, redeemable on purchase. Which one will become your new favourite? Group lunches designed to share*.  For your special occasion we will host you at Lazy Ballerina you can enjoy our beautiful gardens and rural vista views with your friends and family. We take party booking for Saturdays & Sunday lunches. We have two arrival times... 12pm arrival or 2pm arrival.   2 hour catering package. Platters and then we feed your group until you can take no more pizza :)  Adults are $45pp. Kids are $12pp. Under 5's are free! Gluten free, vegan + vegetarian can be catered for.  Our gardens are perfect for children to run around and play, in fact they love it while you sit back and relax with family and friends. Plus we're a dog friendly venue too. 

In the comfort of our Tasting Room, overlooking our fully functioning winery, let us guide you through the Ancient Soils Tasting.  This tasting showcases four different 2019 Shiraz samples that have been grown in four different soil profiles from the McLaren Vale region.  Each unique Shiraz will feature it's own individual set of flavours and characteristics that are a reflection of the soils they're grown in. This tasting is for anyone who wants to learn something new - no matter what level of wine education you may have. 

Our unique ‘Explore, Wine & Dine’ experience is like no other. Be taken on a guided tour of discovery where you will learn about our winery’s history whilst being introduced to the future of our region and the importance of what we are doing to ensure it. This educational tour of our Estate property in McLaren Flat showcases how the decisions made by our founders almost 40 years ago have had a positive and sustainable impact on the way we produce our wines today, whilst also providing a true insight into the modern and innovative steps we have taken to protect, support and strengthen our, and our region’s, future. After exploring our vineyards and winery, you will be hosted to a private, personalised tasting, featuring many of the wines that were discussed throughout the tour, where you can take the opportunity to find out more intricate details about our winemaking process and philosophy.

Picture you and your crew standing amongst the vines of McLaren Vale, high on a hill with views like a painting. Add in a line up of exceptional wines from Aphelion Wine Co. artfully arranged on the back of a real work ute. A stunningly elegant glass in your hand and a Spring breeze in your hair. With wines this good, it will be hard to spit but if you need to, the grass is your spittoon! Aphelion’s highly awarded winemaker Rob Mack is your host for this leisurely and unpretentious tasting where you can ask all the questions you have ever wanted to ask a winemaker. No sharing either – it is exclusively for one group at a time. You will have Rob’s full attention for the duration of your tasting, usually about an hour. Feel free to bring a picnic to enjoy after. We can sell wine by the glass for you to enjoy as you take in the view and your orders will be conveniently shipped to your door.  If there is difficult weather, such as rain or extreme heat, this tasting will be relocated to be a seated tasting at Aphelion HQ, in Willunga.  All of our tasting experiences include filtered water and the provision of spittoons (in this case, it’s the grass!). The tasting fee for our Back Of The Ute “Vineyard Cellar Door” Tasting experience is $40pp, fully redeemable on the purchase of a Sun Lovers Wine Club Membership.
