Get the best of both worlds - Wine & Food First Our guide will pick you up from Matiatia ferry terminal at 10.30am, where we’ll whisk you off for some sublime wine tasting and food experiences. You will travelling in our luxury mini-coach and guided by our wine expert, you’ll visit 3 of Waiheke’s best wineries to taste the island’s elegant Bordeaux-style reds and aromatic whites. Tasting is included in the tour’s cost, so you can make the most of each vineyard’s selection. Lunch is at an award winning vineyard or a local village restaurant – whatever you prefer. It's Time To Go Fishing With lunch done and dusted, we will drop you off to the Matiatia wharf at 2.30pm and then it’s time for your fishing trip. Our local skipper will take you out to some of the best fishing spots the Hauraki Gulf has to offer. Fishing gear and bait is supplied – your catch will be cleaned, filleted and bagged-up for you to take home. Make sure to bring warm clothing, sunblock and your own refreshments as things may get cold on the water. (Extra gear can be stored safely in our vehicle while you’re wine tasting.) The charter will conclude back at Matiatia Wharf at 7.00pm. How It Works Our Fishing Charter and Wine Tour is designed for a maximum of 15 people. Catch the 10.00am Fullers ferry from downtown Auckland, which will deliver you to Waiheke Island at 10.35am. (Pick up from your accommodation on Waiheke can be arranged at no extra cost – just tell us the address and we’ll let you know the pick-up time.) The wine tasting segment of the tour will include three vineyards and time to have a quick lunch at an award wining vineyard or you can pick up something along the way (The cost of tastings are included, however lunch and additional drinks are at your expense.) You will be delivered to your fishing charter at 2.30pm. Please bring appropriate clothing, as things may get cold on the water. Extra gear can be stored safely in our vehicle while you’re wine tasting. Our Fishing Charter will get you back to Matiatia Wharf at 7.00pm. A combination of adrenalin and wine Described as ‘unbelievable fun’ and ‘the best buzz on Waiheke’, EcoZip involves three 200-metre dual flying foxes on the side of Trig Hill at Onetangi. Between each flight you get to hike through regenerating native forest, where you’ll learn about the local plants and wildlife. Because the ziplines carry two people at a time, you can share the exhilarating experience with a companion. It’s great having someone to yahoo with on the way down. Back to land with a tour of wineries The second half of your day involves an amazing lunch at one of the islands stunning vineyards or beachside cafe, then tasting experiences at two or three other wineries (Lunch and additional drinks are at your expense). On the road our knowledgeable guide will fill you in on Waiheke’s history and wine specialties. Waiheke is especially famous for Syrah and Bordeaux-style blends; you’ll also get to taste some brilliant aromatic whites. The Segway Journey Start your day with a glide through the lush Waiheke bush, stopping off at a couple of Waiheke’s famous vineyards, then continue on around the stunning coastline and beaches taking in the sites, local Maori culture and much more. The Wine Tour Upon completion of the Segway Journey at Matiatia Bay our guide will be there to meet you and then you’re ready to get started on our excellent wine tour. Travel via luxury transport and visit three boutique vineyards where you will have complimentary tastings of some of the best wines in the world. You will then move onto a stunning 2hr lunch within the gorgeous setting of one of our award winning vineyards. – So relax, indulge and soak it all in. Just ask our tour guides if you decide to extend your stay. We’ll deliver you back to the ferry terminal at 4pm (or your accommodation on Waiheke). Want something a little more different, More than a wine tou offers that and more! Think wine, Waiheke's very own craft beer, Waiheke's famous olive oil, chutneys and a degustation wine tasting. You will visit four destinations and have between 3 and four tastings at each. You will get the 10am Fullers ferry from downtown Auckland (ensure you are there early enough to ensure your place). You will be greeted as you walk off the ferry on Waiheke buy your guide holding up a sign saying ENJOI. With this tour you can decide to stay on after the last vineyard Batch Winery to enjoy the spectacular views and culinary delights, with this option you will be returned to the 4pm sailing back to downtown Auckland 'or' you can let us know at the time of booking if you prefer to be dropped to one of Waiheke's stunning beaches or enjoy one of the many restaurants and bars in Oneroa village. This option is great if you want to stay on later as you will find your own way back to the ferry at your own time and pace.
A Waiheke Premium wine tour that covers all your expectations, fun and laughter mixed with the most spectacular scenery not to mention world famous wines shared with your choice of culinary delights. This tour starts by you getting the 10am Fullers ferry from downtown Auckland (99 Quay Street) where you get to enjoy a relaxed 35 minute ferry ride through the Hauraki harbour passing historic Devonport and Rangitoto Island among others. Arrive on Waiheke Island where you will be greeted by your ENJOI guide. You will be transported to four of Waiheke's finest vineyards where you will taste between 3 and five wines. Along the way you will have a full commentary from a local guide, drive through Oneroa Village, sightsee some of the beaches that made Waiheke Island famous and fall in love with the rolling hills covered in vines.
