Sarget de Gruaud Larose 2019

The vintage
After a rainy winter and a mild month of March, the budburst of the vines started early. Due to its proximity to the Gironde, the vineyard of Château Gruaud Larose was slightly impacted by the episode of frost in April. The very hot weather in July and August dried out the vineyard after the threat of mildew. Thanks to the summer storms, the water stress suffered by the vines was avoided. The harvest thus began with the Merlots on September 20 and ended on October 8 with the Cabernets.
