Monteith’s Brewing Company has been brewing on the West Coast of the South Island for 150 years.  Originating in the small town of Reefton, years of development and growth have led us to this contemporary, architecturally designed building that pays homage to our proud heritage and looks to our future. 

Monteith’s is now the leading craft beer brewery in New Zealand, and one of the best indoor visitor attractions on the West Coast thanks to our great hospitality, prompt service and wonderful stories … not to mention, our great beers and brewery tours. BREWERY TOURS

Here visitors can learn about the Coast’s incredible brewing history and discover what goes into making our special handcrafted brews on our fully-guided 45-minute tour. Afterwards they’ll taste a range of beers and

ciders from our tap room with tour vouchers, and even pour one for themselves (allow 1 hour to fully enjoy the tour experience. The tour also comes with a West Coast passport, full of other great deals and benefits to enjoy around the West Coast.

SHARING MENU

Visitors can enjoy our famous tasting plates which are designed to be shared, and which celebrate fresh, West Coast produce in a modern menu that comes from the sea, the garden and the land. Our packages are also popular with group bookings, and we can tailor a package to suit your group’s budget and itinerary if you contact us directly.

Monteith’s Brewing Company has become recognised as the leader in the New Zealand craft beer market.  Our origins are firmly ingrained with the Coast and our brewery continues to stand strong and proud. Let your taste buds pop with one of our speciality tasting trays. We have an extensive range of beers on tap – 10 in fact – ranging from very light to the fruity; from dark to the full bodied.

You can also take home a special memento from Monteith’s in the form of a personalised beer bottle with your name on it. A locally sourced wine menu is available, as well as barista style coffee and a selection of tea’s and soft drinks.
