Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Red 2017
Grand Cru Classé

Tasting notes from Fabien Teitgen, Winemaker:
This wine displays a dark red, nearly black color. The nose opens with vibrant fresh fruit—raspberries, cherries, strawberries—then evolves, after swirling, to more complex aromas of spices, dried herbs, fennel, and a hint of floral nuance.
On the palate, the wine is direct and well-balanced with good concentration and volume. Despite a high level of tannin, it remains smooth and rich, offering excellent harmony between depth, density, and freshness. The texture is delicate and precise. The finish is long and complex, showcasing fresh red fruit, licorice, and cinnamon, along with terroir-driven notes of smoke and flint.
