In 1969, Giovanni Colombini created this unusual red wine as a result of his research into ancient Tuscan grape fermentation methods. Long macerations on the skins gave new life to a distinctive red wine, crafted to appear well-aged even when young, and capable of long ageing. It is a versatile wine, never overpowering, with a Tuscan soul—yet different.
The label has returned to its original design, created by Giovanni Colombini himself when the wine was first released in 1969.
