Behind The Scenes Tour
$30
Arrival at the cellar door by 11.20am for an 11.30am start. You are welcomed by our tour guide and HiVis Vests are offered to be worn for safety. 5 minutes The tour guide leads the group across the public carpark and into the Wallcliffe cabernet sauvignon vineyard established in 1970. The location of Cape Mentelle is discussed along with the current viticultural practices that highlight the wine style created through our maritime regionality. Standing amongst the third planted vineyard in the Margaret River region sharing stories created by the vision of Founder David Hohnen and his brothers is both informative and visually breathtaking. 20 minutes At 11.55am we leave the vineyard and walk back towards the cellar door and across to the winery. Climbing a set of stairs into the red cellar, we head to the fruit receival area where during vintage one can see the grapes being processed. The differences between white and red grape processing is highlighted with visual points of reference when appropriate and available in the working winery environment.  10 minutes We walk back out of the red ferment cellar and into the barrel hall, which holds all our wines that are maturing in oak barriques. The wine making process i.e. primary and secondary fermentation along with the importance of oak selection, integration and the use of a Nomblott egg is discussed. 10 minutes We then walk to the white cellar which can have many hoses, pumps and ladders to be aware of in order to taste out of tank a parcel of juice or unfinished wine that shows a point of interest relevant to the time of the year. 10 minutes The tour guide then leads the group carefully through to the historic cellar built in 1977 where several original large French oak vats stand proudly in the first registered rammed earth building in Western Australia. 5 minutes To complete the walking component of the tour you will then visit the original cabernet cellar which showcases 150 oak barriques surrounded by our historical timeline in a rammed earth setting. This is the venue for our annual International Cabernet Tasting benchmarking our current flagship Cabernet Sauvignon amongst 20 other cabernets from countries such as France, Italy, United States and Australia. The current release wines are then tasted in the cellar door which adjoins the cabernet cellar. This completes the experience. 30 minutes Children under the age of 5 years are not able to participate.

Best of Brisbane
$179
After your pick up, we will begin our day by visiting Newstead Brewing Co where you have the chance to sample their core range of beers – plus maybe a few seasonal brews if you’re lucky - and get treated to a behind-the-scenes guided tour of a working brewery, where an incredible staff member will talk you through the brewing process and methods involved in getting your beer from ingredients to finished product. Around the corner we stop into Green Beacon Brewing Co for some generous samples of their award-winning beer. While we recommend a few for you based on what tried previously, there's flexibility to try their seasonal releases and even cider if it's on tap. Learning about the brewing process can be hungry work, so at our third stop you not only get a delicious lunch to soak up your previous samples, but a schooner of their brewed-on-site beer or another tasting paddle. We share the love with our lunch venues and may be chowing down at Aether Brewing, Soapbox Beer or Sea Legs Brewing. After a leisurely visit, we end our day with a stop at one of the various other breweries around town, from Semi-Pro to Ballistic to Bacchus to anything in between! Each brewery offers a core range to taste, as well as constantly creating some new and exciting flavours that we may find on tap. Once back in the city, we will drop you off at your pick up location or a venue that suits you - within reason, of course! Don't forget to bring a photo ID with you. Closed-toe shoes recommended. Strictly no drinking on the vehicle. Itinerary subject to change based on opening hours, events, traffic, etc.

Coldie on the Goldie
$179
We'll start with some lunch at a classic Gold Coast craft beer bar, where each meal paired will be paired with a paddle of cold frothies. Here we will dive into the history and ingredients of beer and revel in one of Gold Coast's best beer venues.  Maybe we'll start at Madocke Beer Brewing, a hole-in-the-wall Belgian brewery run by real Belgians! Suss out a saison or try a tripel; this is one of our guests' favourite places to visit! After some lunch, we'll duck into a residential neighbourhood to be surprised and delighted with what Black Hops has on tap; here we will have the chance to check out their brewery and taste their fresh brews. If head brewer Michael "Govs" McGovern is around, he'll take time out to answer questions you may have and tell the stories behind each of the beers on offer. Lost Palms Brewing has taken a unique, chilled-out vibe to their space, filled with bright colours and thirst-quenching beers. Comfy couches mean you can sit back and sip your brews in comfort. From here we will move on to an original and iconic Gold Coast brewery: Burleigh Brewing, where we will walk through the brewery and learn about their history as the longest-operating brewery on the Gold Coast. Taste their core range, plus maybe a "bit on the side" (seasonal release beers) and marvel at the size of their brewery. Of course no trip would be complete without the so-hot-it's-cool Balter (maybe we'll even spot a surfer or two!), where beach meets beer. Award-winning brewer Scotty Hargreave creates some delicious beers to keep you refreshed, and we'll have a tasting paddle here. The day will see us visiting THREE of the FOUR breweries on the Gold Coast, along with lunch. Throughout the day we keep you well-fed and full of delicious beer, with plenty of samples accompanied by tasting notes and witty commentary. The brewers are happy to show you the ropes, help you understand the brewing process and answer any questions you may have. Whether it's a hot day and you need a cool drink or it's a cool day and you want to warm up, our Coldie on the Goldie tour is perfect for all occasions.  Don't forget to bring a photo ID with you. All your friends may know you're of-age, but it's only the first time we've met, and we'd hate for you to get turned away from any of the breweries by looking too young to appreciate good brews. Strictly no drinking on the vehicle.

Southern Sessions
$179
Join us as we visit the brewing sensations south of the Brisbane river on our Southern Sessions tour! After pick up at your designated location, we will start the day at Brisbane Brewing Co for a great tasting paddle and explanation of what goes into your beer! Once we finish here, we'll sidle on down the road for a filling lunch and more beers to sample at either Archive Beer Boutique or Revel Brewing Co in Bulimba, where we can relax and enjoy some great food, sip on super fresh beers and get a tour of the brewery (at Revel) and a chat with head brewer, Matty. Next comes the short drive to Yeerongpilly to visit the quickly-growing Slipstream. With so many great brews on offer, we recommend you pair up with a buddy to taste as many as possible! An excellent place for locals, Slipstream's head brewer, Ian Watson, is one of the best in the business - and we're sure you'll agree! Pick up a few 4-packs or fill a growler or squealer of their fine product so you can savour it later tonight! Our final stop of the day is Ballistic Beer Co, where their VIP treatment gets guests onto the brewery floor - truly in the thick of things! - and treated to four of their finest! Their beers are top notch, so we will save room in the esky for any takeaways you grab. There's a food truck here in case you're feeling peckish (food not included at this stop) so feel free to grab something to munch on. After our day has finished, we're happy to drop you back in the city at a bar or restaurant of your choosing, or to where you need to be (within reason). Don't forget to bring a photo ID with you. All your friends may know you're of-age, but it's only the first time we've met, and we'd hate for you to get turned away from any of the breweries by looking too young to appreciate good brews. Strictly no drinking on the vehicle.
