Looking for a fun, relaxing and delicious afternoon? This half day tour of the Bickley Valley Wine and Cider Trail will get you off the beaten track to uncover a whole new side of Perth where you will TRULY get away from the crowds.
The Bickley Valley (also known as the Perth Hills) is a little bit of a local secret – which is exactly what makes it such an amazing day out. Aside from the stunning views of endless vineyards and orchards around every corner, the boutique producers in this region offer a more intimate experience where you will often find the winemaker or owner pouring your tastings and having a chat, so you really get 'Up Close' to the locals here.
This food tour is called 'Low and Slow' because that is the only way to get food to taste this good - cooked slowly for a long period of time. When so much love and dedication has gone into crafting the perfect piece of meat, why wouldn't you want to celebrate it?
On this food tour we will eat and drink our way around Perth on a progressive lunch, tasting delicious pit smoked Bar-b-q meats and sides from three very different kitchens as well as discovering some small bars around Perth.
Uncover the best wines that the Swan Valley has to offer on an Up Close and Local wine adventure. Our guaranteed small groups (max. 12 people) mean that we have access to wineries that won't accommodate the big tour buses - so you get away from the crowds and off the regular beaten tourist path to receive a more memorable and intimate and one-on-one tasting experience.
On this half day wine tour in the Swan Valley, we visit wineries that are all family owned, and have been hand-picked by us for their quality and historic contribution to the region (and their amazing wine, of course). The wineries we select can change daily to ensure that you get the best possible experience on each day, and at each winery.
The Perth Hills has a cider and wine trail, you ask? It absolutely does! And it’s a little bit of a local secret – which is exactly what makes it such an amazing day out. Aside from the stunning views of endless vineyards and orchards around every corner, the boutique wineries in this region offer a more intimate experience where you will often find the winemaker or owner pouring your tastings.
On our popular Cider, Wine & Whiskey Tour discover the hidden gem that is the beautiful Bickley Valley, where you will indulge in premium boutique wines, delicious local food, refreshing craft cider and get ‘up close’ with an inside look at Perth’s own urban Whiskey distillery.
If you're looking for an in-depth and personalised premium wine tour, then this is the one for you.
On this Up Close and Local tour, it's not just about tasting a wide range of amazing varietals at the best Swan Valley wineries. We go beyond the cellar door and take you behind the scenes into the winery and vineyard to get an insight into wine production, the unique terroir of this region and to meet the winemakers. This behind-the-scenes insight is unique to each tour depending on what stage in the vintage it is and what is happening in the winery on the day - you may get to see picking, crushing, blending or even experience a barrel tasting - you just never know what the winemaker will have in store for us!
The Original Tour takes you behind-the-scenes on winemaking at Margaret River’s founding wine estate, sharing unique historical insights into the region and all facets of wine production at Vasse Felix. The tour completes with a private tasting of the wine collection, accompanied with a small selection of gourmet bites.
This historical tour takes you on an exploration of Margaret River wine at Vasse Felix, the region's founding wine estate. Your experience begins with a glass of Blanc de Blancs sparkling on arrival before a walking tour of the region's oldest vies, planted in 1967 by pioneer and Vasse Felix founder Dr Tom Cullity.
After your stroll through the old vines, you'll gain exclusive access to the Vault - home to the most historic museum wine collection in Margaret River - for this special tasting featuring two of Margaret River's leading varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Your host will guide you through current vintages of the Vasse Felix wine collection, sharing insights into Margaret River Cabernet and Chardonnay, including folklore surrounding the region's first Cabernet (the 1972 Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon), age-ability of Cabernet and Chardonnay, and cellaring advice. Enjoy house-cured charcuterie as you soak in the cellar surrounds. Your cellar experience will conclude with a tasting of an historic Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon selected for your enjoyment by our Estate Sommelier.
Following the tasting, your experience continues upstairs in the award winning Vasse Felix restaurant, where you will enjoy the ultimate treat of a three course set menu showcasing local produce, paired with wines including a glass of back vintage Cabernet Sauvignon as enjoyed during your tasting.
Explore the world of food and wine at Margaret River’s founding wine estate.
This tour takes you behind the scenes on winemaking, sharing unique historical insights into the region and all facets of wine production at Vasse Felix. Meet with the winemaker as you explore the winery and red barrel hall, before joining your host for a tasting of the wine collection.
Then step into the world of food and wine matching, where you’ll gain insights into Margaret River’s local produce, and the philosophies that guide the Vasse Felix Chefs in their creation of dishes to match with the region’s wines. Enjoy the ultimate treat of a five course tasting menu, paired with wines.
Finally select your choice of a bottle of Vasse Felix Premier wine to take away and share with your friends and family.
