Chateau Sipian
Médoc
Château Sipian, Cru Bourgeois du Médoc since 1932, is located on a gravel ridge, on the edge of the Gironde (Left Bank), a privileged geographical location which makes it a unique wine in the world. Bas Médoc, the north of “Middle Earth”, is the cradle of the Mehaye family. Frédéric grew up here in Valeyrac, dividing his youth between the Port de Goulée and the rows of vines where his parents worked. Château Sipian is the realization of a family dream, that of producing a wine that reflects this land of undeniable paradoxes, that of traveling through Europe to promote and sell it.
Far from the great castles and foreign investors, Frédéric Mehaye works hard. He claims the right to speak out to tell us about his Médoc, a humble region with certain ambitions, like the men who inhabit it: the Médoc.
