Itata Winery experiences and wine tours
The Itata Valley is located in the Ñuble region, a region more humid than the central zone and politically considered the southern region of Chilean wines. It is where you'll find a more natural and traditional artisanal viticulture produced by small and medium farmers. One of the typical wines of the area is called pipeño, a young white wine of great fruitiness, which is a must in any country wine cellar.
For many years its wines were destined for local consumption. However, in recent years, new winegrowers have given impetus to this valley with traditionally planted varieties, such as Cinsault, País and Moscatel, grown in vineyards without irrigation. They are vinified, combining modern winemaking techniques with traditional storage mechanisms such as earthenware jars.
